Description Anders Rune Jensen 2005-09-19 09:04:00 UTC
I have a folder with a couple of thousand messages, to make it easier to
navigate I often collapse threads. If I get a new mail in a collapsed thread and
I use "Find next unread message" it does not find the new message. The only way
to find the new message is to look through all messages and find the collapsed
thread which is marked bold. What I would suggest is to let "find next unread
message" look in collapsed threads for new messages and "uncollapse" the thread.

Another related bug is if you mark all mails with C-A (i think :)) and mark them
as read, mails in a collapsed thread will not be marked as read. This is quite
counter-intuitive.

hi anders, thanks for reporting, but it's already filed at bugzilla.

not seeing unread messages in collapsed threads is bug 216271.
comment #1: only marking the first message of a collapsed thread is bug 262328.

therefore closing.
