GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 315115
Minimize keyboard shortcut on dialog should minimize it along with parent (esp. modal dialogs)
Last modified: 2020-11-06 20:07:31 UTC
When pressing Alt-F9 (or whatever was configured as the Minimize keyboard shortcut) with a modal dialog being focused, it should be minimized along with its parent, as if the parent's Minimize button was pressed. This would be very convenient.
Adding to the modal dialog bugs tracker to help us remember this.
I was about to report the same bug. Not only pressing minimize shortcut doesn't work, Alt-TAB doesn't allow you to cycle to the parent window to apply the same shortcut there.
Modifying summary so that this bug can include bug 484378.
