Description gunix 2005-08-20 07:23:54 UTC
If I select more than one column and tries to delete it by rightclicking and
selecting "Delete column(s)" I get the error

"Delete does not support multiple ranges"
And nothing is removed.

Suggestion for easy solution is to keep a list of all rows to remove and then
remove them one by one.

This should work for rows also.

This is a duplicate of #19827.

Well, it's only a part of that bug. This is easy to do[1] since there is no real
problem (as I see it). You can do single column delete, it should just be
repeated then for each selected column.

To copy and paste multiple columns, that is a totaly different thing. That I'd
imagine is a lot harder.

[1]Well, at least I think it is easy to do with a repeated single column delete.

There is nothing that keeps you from selecting a column range and deleting
that. It is only discontinuous selections that cause problems.

In version 1.4.3 it is impossible to select two adjacent columns and delete them.
What version are you refering to if you claim the opposite?
Comment 5 Morten Welinder 2005-08-21 22:39:21 UTC
There are two ways of selecting multiple columns.

1. Click on D and drag to H. The right-click and select "Delete columns".
2. Click on D, the Ctrl-click on another columns. Delete won't work for this.

Version is cvs HEAD.
