set the UI keyword
Comment 3 Jeffrey Stedfast 2005-07-30 13:31:19 UTC
yes, I agree... I brought up these points months ago when the proposal was first
made.

but no one bothered to do usability testing... *sigh*

same with a bunch of the other new ui changes.

Baptiste,
Attachment Area is the way to go. Since its very intuitive to do DnD, save,
select and do some operation. But since the threaded view of evolution is pretty
good, im unable to find a balance between the two things. Its fine, if we
duplicate as of now, and work out a better proposal in future. Many users find
the DnD, Save All, etc difficult to use with the existing approach. This would
partially solve it.

Hope you are OK with my comments.

Hum, I'm not really ok with the state of Attachment right now, but I think you
don't care :) (I don't think to be able to stop evolution development :)). You
can't deny that it makes the message UI heavy and let Evolution in an unfinished
status. Not very good for Evolution and GNOME crew.
UI changes like this should be implementented earlier in the GNOME development
cycle, because as it appeared just before the UI freeze, people cannot share
their thoughts and any changes on the UI cannot be done.

Regards
