Description Joe harmon 2005-05-27 17:28:20 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Setup:

I am running NLD 9 SP1 with evolution-2.2.2.0.200505251324-0.snap.novell.0.1 and
evolution-data-server-1.2.2.0.200505251324-0.snap.novell.0.1 against a groupwise
sequoia server.

Problem:

In evolution 2.0.x when composing an email, you could click on the To: button
and then put in a users name and perform a search for that user. If the search
was working properly, you would see a "searching" word popup at the bottom of
the dialog box. With evolution 2.2.2 I don't see anything to indicate that the
search is working at all (other than waiting to see if there are results that
come back). In fact for the longest time I thought that the search was broke,
because I was use to seeing that feature there.

Steps to reproduce:

Actual results:

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?

Comment 1 André Klapper 2005-06-01 14:30:43 UTC
rightiright, confirming. obviously has nothing to do with groupwise, removing
keyword.
Comment 2 Sushma Rai 2005-08-31 12:45:08 UTC
Looks like issue with the related code migration from 2.0 to 2.2.
Comment 3 Devashish Sharma 2006-01-31 10:13:49 UTC
Fix has been committed to cvs head quite some time back.
Marking as fixed.
Comment 4 Sushma Rai 2006-02-02 11:56:15 UTC
In case opening the book fails,
e_name_selector_dialog_init() -> source_selected() -> book_opened() ->
status != E_BOOK_ERROR_OK,
we need to notify the failure to the user.

Steps to replicate:
==================
create a exchange account without speicifing the GC server,
try to search for a contact in GAL.
Comment 5 Sushma Rai 2006-02-10 09:34:36 UTC
*** Bug 232830 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Comment 6 Devashish Sharma 2006-02-13 08:10:13 UTC
Added a message "Error loading addressbook" in case status != E_BOOK_ERROR_OK.
