Description Christian Kirbach 2005-05-19 10:25:58 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When editing a text field, i.e. the editing cursor is visible, hitting the
'del' key does not delete a text field character but erases the entire text
field.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create arbitrary text field and put some text into it
2. move cursor between characters
3. Hit the 'del' key

Actual results:
entire text field is removed from diagram

Expected results:
a text fiel character should be removed

Does this happen every time?
yup

I'm pretty sure this is a duplicate.

It is generally better not to confirm your own bug reports.
Please try to check for duplicates first.

The whole text infrastructure is in need of an overhaul and there is a bug
report covering that. I'll try and find the relevant duplicate later if I have
time.
