Description Lionel Dricot 2005-05-06 20:39:10 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When you compose a new mail, content of the fields others than DATA cannot be
copied by selection.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Compose a new mail and add an adress in the "TO" field.
2. Select the adress in the field
3. Try to paste it anywhere by middle-click

Actual results:
nothing

Expected results:
The selected text is pasted.

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
This bugs was not present in earlier version ( 2.0). It's a major annoyance for
desktop users used to the select/middle click behaviour.

It seems to be related to #300429

I feel this bug is about not being able to copy from the 'name selector widget'
(e-name-selector ?),
apart from the DATA part, the 'subject' field also allows you to copy/paste.

Comment 2 Not Zed 2005-08-08 09:22:05 UTC
yeah it is e-name-selector, whic is supplied by the addressbook.

of course the composer coudl be doing something silly, but since subject works,
it probably isn't
