Description Vincent Régnard 2005-04-19 19:39:16 UTC
Distribution/Version: debian sarge x86

When using nautilus to d-n-d a file on a fat16 usbfs (digital camera and also
mp3player memory) I get an error similar to that mentionned in bug #170252. I
open the usbfs without problem using nautilus and I can read from it. But when I
try to d-n-d or copy and paste a file to it I get the "Invalid parameter" error
message. It is also impossible to delete files on this FS using nautilus while
it seems it is possible to rename the directories !

I presume this is related to nautilus because using the command line I have no
problem at all to copy or delete file on this FS. I have also no problem doing
d-n-d or copy-n-paste on my fat32 usb memory stick using the same procedure. So
I imagine this is related to fat16 FS.

This is on debian sarge GNU/Linux OS x86
