Using a Contact List from LDAP server does not work
Last modified: 2004-10-11 21:38:45 UTC
Package: Evolution Priority: Major Version: GNOME2.2.2 1.4.0 os_details: Ximian, Inc. Synopsis: Using a Contact List from LDAP server does not work Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Contacts [was: Addressbook] Description: Description of Problem: Using the openLDAP LDAP server as provided in RedHat 9, one can store 'Contact Lists', however the resultant list can not be used to succesfully send an email to the list. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Connect to an LDAP server using an authenticated DN 2. Create a contact list. 3. Attempt to send email to the list using the 'auto completion' feature. Actual Results: The XML format you are using to stor the reference to the card is not being decoded. Instead, the XML is sent as the To: header. Expected Results: The mailer decodes the list of address and places them in the To: field. How often does this happen? Every time I send an email to a contact list that comes from an openLDAP server. Additional Information: Evolution is the killer Linux App! Unknown reporter: kenpratt@comcast.net, changed to bugbuddy-import@ximian.com. Setting qa contact to the default for this product. This bug either had no qa contact or an invalid one.
