Description Barry Warsaw 2003-05-06 15:05:24 UTC
Description of Problem:

There is no way to merge contacts. I have three
entries for a single person, which I've created by
clicking on their email address in a mail message.

First, the Edit Full should give me the option to
merge the new contact information into an existing
one instead of just complaining. Second, the
contact editor should provide a way to merge
vcards into one entry.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Get an email from a friend, add them to your
contacts
2. Get another email from the same friend, but
from a different address of theirs.
3. Add this second one to your contacts too.
There's no way to merge the contacts except in a
painfully manual way.

Actual Results:

Frustration

Expected Results:

Joy and lightness.

How often does this happen?

Every time
