GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 228594
Spell check results should be in right-click menu
Last modified: 2006-09-04 10:11:44 UTC
Currently when a word is misspelled you right-click on the word, choose "Check <misspelled-word> spelling..." and are presented with a dialog box with choices on possible spellings. There you choose the right word and click on [ Replace ]. Instead, right-clicking on the word should have the choices of possible spellings along with the other choices (Add <misspelled-word> to dictionary..., Ignore <mispelled-word>). That way you can right-click and then choose the correct spelling right there, and you avoid unnecessary dialog boxes.

still missing in 3.7.4
I am trying to reproduce and fix this bug
this has been fixed by partha and srini: http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/gtkhtml/components/html-editor/popup.c?r1=1.90&r2=1.91 fix will be included in unstable evolution 2.7.3 (gtkhtml 3.11.3) and the upcoming evolution 2.8 (gtkhtml 3.12). another idea would be to not put the possible spellings into a {LANGUAGE_NAME}-submenu, but to put them on the first level of the context menu - see bug 330452.

srini, thanks for better gnome-spell integration into evolution (and of course much more stuff)! ;-) yay...
