Conversely, I would like to be able to import into my addressbook all
the addresses from a selected folder.

For example: Say I have already drag+dropped some of my friends emails
into a "Friends" folder. I might want to >collect all
sender-addresses in this folder< into my addressbook under the
category "friend".

Then (as marc@spoorendonk suggests) I could filter any new emails from
my friends with the rule: if sender-address in contacts category
"friend" then move to folder "Friends".

And the second request is covered (I think, at least partially) by bug
201892. If not, please open a new report since that's not related to
the first request.
