GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 216803
wrong copy/paste of appointments as plain text
Last modified: 2005-11-15 02:22:21 UTC
Package: Evolution Priority: Normal Version: 1.0 Synopsis: ev-1.0 copy/paste of appointments Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Miscellaneous Description: Create a new appointment in Calendar. In the right-click context menu, select "Copy", go back to INBOX and create a new mail message, select "Paste". The appointment will be inserted like this: BEGIN:VEVENT UID:20011206T213247Z-23878-500-1-0@aris.dummy.de DTSTAMP:20011206T213247Z DTSTART;TZID=/softwarestudio.org/Olson_20011030_5/Europe/Berlin: 20011212T200000 DTEND;TZID=/softwarestudio.org/Olson_20011030_5/Europe/Berlin: 20011212T220000 TRANSP:OPAQUE SEQUENCE:2 SUMMARY:CCC Cologne\, Ehrenfeld CLASS:PRIVATE END:VEVENT First, I don't have any idea about what "softwarestudio.org" is supposed to be and what it has to do with this appointment or my selected timezone of "Europe/Berlin". Second, what I would have expected is having Evolution insert my selected ("Copy") appointment as an attachment to this mail, not as cryptic plain-text within the message's body. Unknown reporter: tevessen@pop-koeln.de, changed to bugbuddy-import@ximian.com.
Down to minor since you can save as ics and then atthach it. This also would require UI design
