Description cpt_morian 2001-11-13 21:25:40 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Critical
Version: RC1 13-nov-2001 morning build
Synopsis: Newest Evolution dies on start-up
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Shell

Description:
I am running RH 7.2, Basic Gnome

I installed Evolution by downloadinf RedCarpet and then installing the Evolution builds through RedCarpet. This morning like many others, I downloaded the current build of Evolution. I start it and the splash/load screen pops up then disappears and nothing takes it place.

Running Evolution from the command line I get the following error:

# evolution
Message: Successfully registered `OAFIID:GNOME_Evolution_Shell'
evolution: relocation error: /usr/lib/libevolution-importer.so.0: undefined symbol: stat

I have tried running oaf-slay and killev. They have killed off the extraneous process, but do not allow me to use Evolution.
