Description r.winder 2001-11-13 07:00:46 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Critical
Version: 0.99.1
Synopsis: evolution 0.99.1-2001.11.12.08.57 does not work upgrading with red-carpet on RH7.1
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Miscellaneous

Description:
I used red-carpet to upgrade to the snapshot of evolution released
yesterday (0.99.1-2001.11.12.08.57) from the snapshot of the previous
day (0.99.1-2001.11.11.08.57). The evolution download was only 8Mb and
not the usual 15Mb. After loading, I tried the new version (having done
the usual killev first) and the splash screen appeared but then nothing
happened. ps -ax reveals evolution to be running, I assume as expected,
but there is no window displayed.

Quite a few users have reported a crash with that same snapshot.
Please run evolution from the command line and see if you
get a message about a relocation error. Add a comment to this bug
indicating what happened.

Okay, this package is verifiably broken for everybody, so I'm marking
dup.
