GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 214413
Text just below menu is not themeable
Last modified: 2003-02-25 02:21:32 UTC
Package: Evolution Priority: Normal Version: 0.15 Synopsis: Text just below menu is not themeable Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Mailer Description: Hy great Evolution maintainers. The text stating the number of new mails and the folder You are looking at is just white and can't be influenced by themes. It's unreadable with a light colored theme. This just happens when the theme is using background pixmaps since otherwise the GtkEventBox will be overriden with the special colors. Either a pixmap should also be overriden or the box should be themeable. Alexander Werth Unknown reporter: awerth@hrzpub.tu-darmstadt.de, changed to bugbuddy-import@ximian.com.
0.15.x is fairly old code and I believe that this problem is fixed. if you can still duplicate this bug (or if the feature you requested is still not implemented) please let us know by filing a new bug. Thanks.

It's still there. Try the theme Quiet for example. http://gtk.classic.themes.org/themes.phtml?themetxt=quiet&submit=Search&odby=download&disptype=norm&numthemes=10&showmod=off&action=search This grey bar under the menu is something to identify Evolution. But in this case You should explicitly unset any possible set background pixmap (I'm not talking about pixmaps of the pixmap engine here). I could go with the grey, but would prefer to have this bar themeable as well. What would be the name of the widget for that? Alexander Werth

Since this bug affects more than one component, I'm assigning to "miscelaneous" to coordinate.
