Description Zot O'Connor 2001-09-28 21:52:43 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Normal
Version: 0.14.99
Synopsis: Pane goes blank when you delete a message
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Mailer

Description:
Not using a preview pane, and in the mail window. Hitting N goed to the
next message, but hitting Del, deletes the message, but the pane goes
blank.

Same behavior if I delete the message in the message list.

If you are not using the preview pane, which pane goes blank? I'm a
little unclear...
Comment 2 Zot O'Connor 2001-10-16 05:08:16 UTC
I do not use the preview pane, therfore the message window (mail
window above) does not close upon a delete. It does go blank (which
is the same as if the message is deleted in the message list window).

The behavior in other mailers goes like this:

1) If the delete function is called in the window, the message jumps
to the next unread message (sometime setable to next message).

2) If the delete is called in the message list, then the message is
deleted in the message list. Some mailers close the message window,
some move the message windows to the next unreaqd message, some do not
change the message windows (thus leaving a deleted message still
visibile, which causes consistency errors, but is cool for mistakes,
seems some functions should be greyed).
