Description georgn 2001-09-13 14:54:38 UTC
Package: Evolution
Priority: Normal
Version: 0.13.99
Synopsis: composer should accept unqualified recipients
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Mailer

Description:
I have sendmail on my laptop configured to forward mail to unqualified
recipients (like "bob") to a smarter
machine that will do the right thing. Until the latest snapshot,
evolution's composer did not care if
I sent mail to "bob" instead of "bob@some.domain".

Might I suggest that this be another configurable?

Sending mail to unqualified email addresses is against the
specification. Ideally, the mailer will append a default domain to any
address you enter.

This is something we'll have to deal with, but which probably won't
happen until after 1.0

These aren't exactly dups, but I'm rolling them into one bug.
