It looks to me like parsing the Full Name only treats "von" and "van"
correctly.  There are plenty of other such name prefixes, like "da", "de
la", "di", "ter" which should be recognized.  The prefixes can be kept in a
list; in any case, a lower case initial letter is usually a giveaway.

Also, the "File As" should have the variant "Braun, Wernher von" as a third
option.

well, at least there's a "middle" option when entering the full name 
of a contact; 
your third display option under "File as" is still missing in 2.1.3.2.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org. 
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow

and create a new bug report ticket at
