Run a GNOME app on a remote host and DISPLAY it to your local GNOME desktop, for
instance via ssh, setting the DISPLAY environment variable.  Even though you can
see and interact with the application, provided your Xserver session allows the
remote host to connect, the remote app isn't accessible.

That's because there's no contact between the at-spi-registryd instance to which
it connects on the remote host, and the local at-spi-registryd.  Likewise,
bonobo-activation is strictly local (though Bonobo/CORBA is not).  See also bug
164941.
