Description Reinout van Schouwen 2004-11-15 23:50:14 UTC
Currently, when you have a bookmark for (for instance) Planet GNOME, and you
have a planet.gnome.org entry in your history, both entries will show up in the
location bar dropdown, with planet.gnome.org as the topmost item.

Since the two are obviously duplicates, it would be better to only show one, and
to take the one with the most info (typically the bookmark which has the page
title, I suppose).

It would be even better when 'Planet GNOME' would also be suggested when you
type 'gnome', instead of having to start with 'planet...'

Correction: Planet GNOME _is_ suggested when I type 'gnome', but this holds only
for bookmarks. When typing a partial URL which is in the history, it won't be
shown in the dropdown. That's out of the scope of this bug I guess.

updating fields.

Still happens, maybe gnome-love'able?

I'm marking this as duplicate of #330902 because that bug issues this and other problems (related to this one) with the location entry.
