Description Jay Cox 2004-11-14 01:37:14 UTC
A recent addition to the GIMP 2.2 API allows plug-ins to register an additional
procedure to give access to a thumbnail embedded in an image file. The PSD
format allows for such thumbnails so it would be nice if the PSD plug-in would
provide this functionality.

Jay, would you be willing to give a volunteer hacker a helping hand with this
one? We could add the "gnome-love" keyword then; perhaps someone's interested...
Comment 2 Jay Cox 2005-05-07 08:41:27 UTC
I would be happy to help anyone interested in improving the photoshop plugins.
I just added some comments to the psd load plugin that should help someone get
started. I would also be happly to help anyone working on bug #303339
(load/save psd paths) or bug #109841 (saving layer masks). I can supply example
psd files, verification of psd files with photoshop 7/CS, coding advice, etc.

Bumping to Future since this is not a blocker for 2.4 and is unlikely to be implemented by then.

I'm trying to get into GIMP development, so I think I'll start here therefore help would be, well helpful. Ive got a lot of Photoshop CS psd's from when I did my photography A-level.

As far as I understand bug #448181 this can now be closed as FIXED.
