Description Massimiliano 2004-09-22 16:18:25 UTC
Create a shape and insert some text.
While editing the text you can only use backspace because Del deletes the
shape no the text contained.
It would be useful if the user could distinguish between selecting the text
and the shape.
Hitting del or Backspace while editing the text would result in removing teh
text after or before the cursor position.
Hitting del or bs while the shape is selected would delete the shape.

this sounds familiar, we may already have a similar bug report
or have closed a similar report and filed it under the reworking of the Text
Widget that needs to be done. (if you can help find that other report and close
this as a duplicate your help would be apprecaited)

this and various other problem stem from the Text Widget not doing things
exactly as we might like, and it really needs to be changed to deal with its
keybindings seperately and it is something that is definately planned to happen
sometime before "version 1.0" whenever that might happen.
