Comment 2 Vincent Noel 2004-09-21 14:40:55 UTC
This looks like a bug in Alsa (the stack trace is very close to the one in bug
147317, which is a dup of bug 147234).
Comment 3 Ronald Bultje 2004-10-01 12:08:51 UTC
What version of gst-plugins? This should be fixed in recent gst-plugins releases.
Comment 4 Masahiro Hasegawa 2004-10-01 15:32:52 UTC
I installed gstreamer-plugins-0.8.4-2 by RPM.
The RPM is Fedora official.
Comment 5 Ronald Bultje 2004-10-29 11:52:38 UTC
Can you please retry with gst-plugins-0.8.5?
Comment 6 Masahiro Hasegawa 2004-10-29 14:01:48 UTC
$rhythmbox --version
Gnome rhythmbox 0.8.8
$rpm -q gstreamer-plugins
gstreamer-plugins-0.8.5-1

I tryed.
But rhythmbox crushed.

Comment 13 Ronald Bultje 2004-11-11 10:38:07 UTC
Thanks for the info, I have applied a workaround to CVS, I think version 0.8.6
of gst-plugins will fix this. Can you please test that once it comes out?

Also, I'm still of the opinion that this is an ALSA bug, since apparently the
simple sequence of snd_pcm_hw_params_any() followed by snd_pcm_hw_params() will
cause crashes. Therefore, can you tell me what soundcard you have (output of
lspci -vv for this particular device would be fine)?
