Description APF 2004-08-25 09:52:43 UTC
Don't know how practical this is, but it would be good to incorporate an
extremely simple document tracking system into Nautilus. As well as "spatial"
navigation through the file system, it would be good to navigate "spatially"
through time and be able to roll back a document through various revisions. A
siple system to track major rewrites, minor rewrite and new versions would be
good. Not sure how this could be implemented in a simple and user friendly way
but hope it is worth considering. An ability to compare versions and track
revisions would be good. Maybe Nauitilus could be used to build a very simple
front-end to CVS. This would not necessarily be for large program projects but
for simple LaTeX and Abi documents.
