Bumping. Has there been any progress on this?
Comment 4 Paul Betts 2007-03-05 16:15:39 UTC
Is anyone against an equalizer in Totem? Because for the Xine backend at least, it'd be easy to just see the Amarok code for the EQ.
Comment 5 Ignacio Martin 2007-03-05 16:38:57 UTC
And regarding gstreamer, there's already a equalizer element. It is in gst-bad, though, as it needs more love.
Comment 6 Stefan Sauer (gstreamer, gtkdoc dev) 2007-03-07 08:30:52 UTC
before you rely too much on the equalizer as it is in -bad. the interface will change (see #415627).
Comment 7 Bastien Nocera 2007-04-01 00:08:42 UTC
Nice looking eq widget, we still need the equaliser gst plugin to move to good.

The equalizer plugin just moved to -good CVS - it'll be in the 0.10.7 release on Feb 18

One that could be enhance the human voice and smooth shots, for assisting the night
Comment 11 Bastien Nocera 2012-04-23 16:10:28 UTC
I don't think we want an equaliser for movie playback. We might have wanted a "night mode" instead, but it's better implemented in PulseAudio directly[1]:
