Description Donald D. Henson 2004-05-27 21:45:31 UTC
Grid is not now adjustable.
Comment 1 Donald D. Henson 2004-05-27 21:48:57 UTC
As implemented, icons on the edge of the desktop are either partially hidden or
they take up an inordinate amount of desktop real estate. If the grid were
adjustable by, say, being able to specify the pixel distance between grid
points, the icons could be placed in a more advantageous position. As an
alternative, the existing grid could just be "moveable" vertically and horizontally.

Thanks for your bug report.
Comment 3 Aaron Gyes 2005-11-20 06:24:46 UTC
This is very important. Even in 2.13, aligning is still broken. Text and sides
of icons go offscreen. The alignment feature should either be fixed or removed,
I think.
Comment 4 Gerhard Bräunlich 2007-06-06 09:09:05 UTC
Please set also the default horizontal and vertical grid size to be equal.
Currently the horizontal distance between two grid points is more than 3x greater than the vertical.
