Description Sven Panko 2004-05-25 11:13:51 UTC
Current Behaviour:

For each application I run, the Window Selector Applet puts one tab into my
gnome-panel. But the size of all tabs changes whenever new applications are
opened or closed, although there is no need for them to do so.

Desired Behaviour:

I see no way to determine a default width for the tabs that is used, as long as
there is enough space in the panel left. If it is not possible to place all tabs
with the default width into the panel, all tabs should be resized to the same
width (via the formula [panel_width / num_of_tabs]). If, due to the termination
of applications, enough space is present again, the default width is used again.

There's a patch for this in bug 155870.
