Description david.hawthorne 2004-03-31 14:59:14 UTC
using gnopernicus from CVS HEAD Mar 31
confirmed also in gnopernicus 0.8.1-1

-launch gnopernicus
-choose 'verbose' presentation mode
-edit a file in gedit
-choose 'quit'

.the 'Save Changes' dialog pops up. The confirmation question starts to be
spoken but is interrupted immediately and the initially focused button is output
instead. This may relate to bug 138607 where an extra speech event is occuring.

This is also happening in the 'empty trash' dialog.

What TTS are you using? With festival this behaviour is normal, because of the
absence of speech markers.
Comment 2 david.hawthorne 2004-04-08 09:44:47 UTC
I am using FreeTTS speech driver.
Comment 3 remus draica 2004-04-08 13:51:30 UTC
Can you send me the content of ~/.orbitrc file?
Comment 4 david.hawthorne 2004-04-08 14:17:10 UTC
I did not have a .orbitrc file.

I added one with 'ORBIIOPIPv4=1' and 'ORBIIOPUNIX=0'. The bug seems to have
disappeared.. I'm getting inconsistent results though, as earlier today the bug
was happening with default and was solved selecting verbose..

Comment 5 remus draica 2004-04-08 15:29:53 UTC
In case of missing of that file, FreeTTs behaves in same way as festival.
Comment 6 david.hawthorne 2004-04-14 12:56:38 UTC
I have not had a chance to properly verify this on my system. I may reopen if I
find it still to be present.
