With other gstreamer apps, passing --gst-mask=0x???????? gives debugging
information on the use of gstreamer.  This option is not supported with
Muine, making it difficult (impossible?) to get at the gstreamer debug
information while Muine is running.

GStreamer-0.8.x uses --gst-debug-level, not --gst-mask. See gst-launch-0.8 --help.
