Package: gnome-panel Severity: normal Version: 2.0.6 Synopsis: Sudden crash of gnome-panel while I was editing a file in emacs Bugzilla-Product: gnome-panel Bugzilla-Component: general BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.0.3) Description: Description of Problem: I was editing a perl script in emacs. Suddenly an error dialogue box file popped up saying that there was a crash in the gnome-panel. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Hard to say, except as described above. 2. 3. Actual Results: No actual damage to session or X apart from popup error window. Expected Results: I wasnt expecting this to happen. How often does this happen? Something similar has happened before - see previous bug report reported by me. Additional Information: Redhat 8 fully patched except for last kernel patch. NVIDIA X drivers installed but not correctly according to Realsoft. Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/gnome-panel' (no debugging symbols found)...(no debugging symbols found)... 0x40844877 in waitpid () from /lib/i686/libpthread.so.0
