I'm a regular CVS HEAD user of GNOME and recently detected that when
pressing the logout button that gnome-session locks up. It's then
impossible to do something. This problem is there since mid november.

You're sure this is still happening with CVS HEAD ? We had a problem
like this but reverted the patch that caused it. See bug #122737.

I can confirm this bug. I got it from garnome-0.28.3 which ships with
gnome-session 2.5.2 which I think is newer than the CVS HEAD Mark
refers to on 9th Dec. Not sure though.
