Description jari.aalto 2003-11-13 07:26:39 UTC
Using nautilus 2.4.0 / Redhat Fedora / test3

FEATURE SUGGESTION REQUEST

In Windows explorer, file browser, it is possible to rename a file by

1. Selecting it
2. Clicking the file again (The cursor moves to the character at point)

In nautilus, you have to separately Right Click => Rename for each file,
which is incovenient for renaming massive number of files.

Windows-like behaviour may or may not be desired in this case. Often
times, the user intends to execute the file, and finds themselves
renaming. Conversely, when trying to rename, will execute the file
instead.

Right-click only is more straightforward in my humble opinion.
