In the text tool if you select a particular font & then immediately try to 
change the selected font the gimp get automatically closed,only the debug 
window remains open. This problem also happens when you try to scroll 
through the fonts.

Almost certainly a duplicate of bug #120095. Unless someone on Windows
is willing to use a debugger on this, there isn't much we can do about it.
