GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 125785
gtkdoc doc
Last modified: 2009-08-15 18:40:50 UTC
(This bug is registered as concentration point on serval gtkdoc problems.) I can't find proper gtkdoc documentation. Please hit me with a URL
This one blocks bug# 125787
Bugs #123318, #125360, #125646, #125702, #125787 were caused by the missing documentation.
And recently bug 126019 also.
As far as I can tell, there is no documentation for gtk-doc, other than /usr/share/doc/gtk-doc-0.10 (RedHat 9.0) and the mailinglist (http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gtk-doc-list). The next 2 patches should fix the 'make'-related bugs.
Created attachment 21137 [details] [review] uss scripts "Stappers" style, safer, better
Created attachment 21138 [details] [review] doc/reference/ files generated using the previous patch.
( will send comments on the patches to conglomerate-developers ML )
Okay, file://usr/share/doc is a nice URL, thanks.
Does http://cvs.gnome.org/bonsai/rview.cgi?cvsroot=/cvs/gnome&dir=gtk-doc help?
Specifically, doc/gnome.txt in the above CVS repository looks good: http://cvs.gnome.org/bonsai/cvsblame.cgi?file=gtk-doc%2Fdoc/gnome.txt&rev=&root=/cvs/gnome Alarmingly, I also found this in doc/setting_up.txt: That's it! If you now build the application or library you should get a complete set of documentation. (Note that due to make being awkward the build may fail the first time, but if you run make again it should work.)
Found the line in doc/setting_up.txt: but if you run make again it should work Alarming, really alarming. I want to use F-words.
We have the documentation: file://usr/share/doc/gtk-doc-tools and bug 145292 allows me to close this old P.I.T.A.
