Description Thomas Stiens 2003-03-10 19:45:50 UTC
Description of Problem:

Applying a user selected application to some file
via the context menu in list view mode is not
possible in all circumstances. On my system (SuSE
8.0 with Garnome 0.21.2) it works ONCE after
starting Nautilus. Trying for a second time
doesn't open the open the dialog to select the
desired application.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open Nautilus
2. Switch file view to list mode
3. Select some file, open the context menu and
click 'open with...another application'
4. In the dialog, click 'cancel'
5. Repeat step 3. -> the dialog is not shown again

Actual Results:

The selection dialog does not show.

Expected Results:

Well - the dialog should appear :-)

How often does this happen?

Every time.

Additional Information:

Switching to another directory makes it work again
(once !).

confirming with nautilus-2.2.2 and moving to GNOMEVER2.2
Comment 2 Mattias Dahlberg 2003-04-10 08:52:25 UTC
I suspect that this is the same as bug 104334, which is fixed in
2.2.3.1.
Comment 3 Thilo 2003-07-29 23:38:40 UTC
I don't see this in 2.2.4!
Comment 4 Sebastien Bacher 2003-11-19 19:46:34 UTC
According to the comments seems to be a duplicate of 104334, work with
nautilus 2.4.
