GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 359438
highlight formula entry, click on cell to overwrite
Last modified: 2009-11-30 05:45:41 UTC
when I enter a formula and I would like to over-write some part of it with a cell (or range) I select. I should be able to highlight part or the formula and click on a cell. the cell reference I click should overwrite what is highlighted. instead gnumeric prepends the clicked cell and I have to then delete the stuff i had highlighted manually. hope that makes sense, thanks !
You can do that in the formula entry field - the one between the tool bars and the grid. Or do I misundersand you?
it seems to work now :\ must have been an isolated incident
Created attachment 75337 [details] the bug show up in this file instructions to replicate bug: 1) double click on C3 2) highlight '0.55' 3) click on B1 this is on win XP gnumeric 1.7.1
Right. Now I see what you mean. I'm reopening.
Clicking on B1 now just selects B1.
