Description Mathias Hasselmann (IRC: tbf) 2006-11-29 20:12:17 UTC
As mentioned on the mailing list, I've created a plugin for automatically applying formatting styles when some markup is detected within the text:

_underline_
#highlight#

*bold*
/italic/
|monospace|

'small'
==large==
===huge===

Want to get it merged into tomboy and don't want it to get lost, so I create this ticket.

The Underline plugin

This plugin provides underlining.
Comment 3 Mathias Hasselmann (IRC: tbf) 2006-11-29 20:37:18 UTC
Shipping Tomboy with this plugin enabled by default could confuse quite some people. Therefore this plugin should be disabled by default. Should adopt ticket #380636.

WikiMarkup Addin for Tombay 0.7+

Any reason this wasn't adopted?

I updated the code to conform to the new addin

Why this doesn't come with Tomboy?

Also, where should one (a normal user) look for information on how to install it?

If Doug's version of the add-in still works, you just build it (if necessary) and drop the DLL into ~/.tomboy/addins.

It would be really nice to have some wiki syntax support in Tomboy. I hope this plugin will be adopted in Tomboy.

Actually, I'd love to see **real** wiki syntax support in Tomboy, e.g. http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/ which is used by Stack Overflow.

Should I open a new issue for this enhancement request ?

I haven't heard a lot of feedback on this addin; I'll have to test it out this cycle.

Yeah, please file a separate enhancement bug, and include a link to this bug for reference.
