GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 223309
Add "Include Subfolders" to "Search Folder Sources"
Last modified: 2012-07-11 14:39:29 UTC
Description of Problem: Setting up VFolder Sources in the VFolder Editor is difficult with a large IMAP folder structure Steps to reproduce the problem: N/A - See Additional Information Actual Results: N/A - See Additional Information Expected Results: N/A - See Additional Information How often does this happen? N/A - See Additional Information Additional Information: When adding sources to the "VFolder Sources" list, please consider allowing a "Include all subfolders" option. Companies such as ours, that have years of filed email stored on an IMAP server, would find this a real time saver since adding large numbers of folders to the VFolder source is both time consuming an a task that requires constant updating as new subfolders are added.

Would it be possible to use shift-click for a range of folders, and ctrl-click for individual folder selections?
> please consider allowing a "Include all subfolders" option Suggestion: may be implemented as "vfolder sources" option "specific folders with subfolders" (as opposed to "specific folders only")
still in 2.1.4, has nothing to do with imap (removing keyword)

Created attachment 218562 [details] [review] evo patch for evolution; This adds "include subfolders" checkbox beside each specific folder, thus users can toggle it for the functionality. Selection of a whole account is not possible, and I think it's not as that issue anyway. It looks like this in the UI: On This Computer : Inbox [x] include subfolders GMail : Inbox/GMail [ ] include subfolders aka I repeat the text "include subfolders" on each line. I do that for two reasons: a) showing table header steals one row from the folder list view b) showing only checkboxes in the column seemed weird to me
Created commit 0c88125 in evo master (3.5.4+)
