GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 215464
Create a new contact by right-clicking on email address
Last modified: 2004-04-14 13:20:16 UTC
Package: Evolution Priority: Wishlist Version: 0.99.1 Synopsis: Create a new contact... Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Contacts [was: Addressbook] Description: When a new message arrives...and i right-click over the sender...i think there should 2 (maybe more, i dont know what other option.)...2 options...if i want to create a new contact "Create a new Contact"...and if i have the sender in my contacts but the email address is different of what i have in his/her contact "Add email address to a Contact" or another words....and then appears a window where i select the contact and i add the second or third or whatever email address... sorry about my english...
this would be nice...to have more than one option when u right click over an email address...not just to add it to ur contact list, but to add it to an already created contact.... The same would be nice about the vfolder and filters....when u try to modify one of them, u have to copy and paste the data... thanks
Very, very wishlist.
This is already done for addressbook. I discovered it the other day.
Chris....where?...how?...
If you add a contact to the addressbook via a right-click, and if you already have a contact in there with the same name but with a different e-mail address, it should give you the option of adding the new e-mail to the existing contact.
that's right...and i haven't found that option...so i don't think it's resolved...=)
It should be automatic. Works for me...

works fine for me (evo1.4.4-54); also regarding this as a dup of bug 211082. double-closing(TM). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 211082 ***
