Description André Klapper 2008-07-29 00:25:14 UTC
../src/Extensions/Banshee.Daap/Banshee.Daap/DaapSource.cs:234:
msgstr "Loading {0} tracks."

what if {0} == 1? what if languages have more than one plural form?
please provide proper ngettext support, see
http://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject/DevGuidelines/Plurals

---

# Translators: {0} and {1} are markup, {2} is the name of the radio station
../src/Core/Banshee.ThickClient/Banshee.Gui.Widgets/TrackInfoDisplay.cs:382
msgstr "{0}on{1} {2}"

still not helpful. no idea how to translate "on" in that context and why it is missing spaces around.

Entire code looks badly concatenated and likely leads to l10n problems:

// Translators: {0} and {1} are markup, {2} is the name of the radio station
string on = MarkupFormat (Catalog.GetString ("{0}on{1} {2}"),
          radio_track.ParentTrack.TrackTitle);

/* Translators: {0} is the "from {album} by {artist}" type string, and {1}
 is the "on {radio station name}" string */
markup = String.Format (Catalog.GetString ("{0} {1}"), by_from, on);

../src/Extensions/Banshee.Podcasting/Banshee.Podcasting.Gui/DownloadManager/DownloadUserJob.cs:52
msgstr "Are you sure that you'd like to cancel all podcast downloads?"

Please avoid "'d".

../src/Core/Banshee.ThickClient/Banshee.Gui/GlobalActions.cs:185
msgstr "Import"
verb or noun?

../src/Core/Banshee.Services/Banshee.Query/BansheeQuery.cs:157
msgstr "comment"
verb or noun?
http://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject/DevGuidelines/Use%20comments

---

../src/Core/Banshee.ThickClient/Banshee.Gui/ViewActions.cs:72
"Toggle Fullscreen Mode"
Please avoid using "toggle" as a verb, instead use terms such as "switch".

../src/Dap/Banshee.Dap.Mtp/Banshee.Dap.Mtp/MtpSource.cs:149
"Loading {0} - {1} of {2}"
a comment would be nice in order to properly translate this.
Comment 1 Wouter Bolsterlee (uws) 2008-07-29 00:39:22 UTC
I had trouble translating most of these to Dutch as well. (I resorted to reading the source code, which is NOT GOOD.) Raising severity.
Comment 2 André Klapper 2008-07-30 23:06:34 UTC
Moving from http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=503844#c5 because the rest are intltool/gettext issues:

msgid "Listen to the Last.fm {0} station for this artist"
- What does {0} refer to? Please add a comment.
Comment 3 Gabriel Burt 2008-07-31 00:23:51 UTC
This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
