GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 514812
gcalctool Help keyboard shortcut should be "Contents F1" and not "Help Ctrl+H"
Last modified: 2008-02-11 09:26:17 UTC
according to GNOME HIG http://library.gnome.org/devel/hig-book/stable/menus-standard.html.en#menu-standard-help Help/Contents menu keyboard shortcut should be "F1" and not "Ctrl+H" like it is in the current gcalctoo-5.21.90 Other information:
Agreed. Robert could you look into this one please? I'm guessing it's in the Glade file, but from a very quick cursory look, I couldn't find it. Thanks.

The problem was the stock menu item doesn't have the correct shortcut. Changed it to a manual menu item. This is annoying as we should be able to use the stock items to reduce unnecessary translation strings. The HIG also states it should be "Contents" as well but holding this off due to the string freeze. Keep this bug open until we have branched development and can change the name to "Contents".
As was noted in bug #515326, string changes can still be made todayas long as they are announced. Robert, if you want to adjust this today, feel free to make the change, commit the patch and send a string announcement to those two aliases. Thanks.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
