GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 384874
Wrong application name
Last modified: 2006-12-12 14:36:38 UTC
Incorrect translation Application: vino Incorrect text: "Power Manager is free software; you can redistribute it and/or\n modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License\n as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2\n of the License, or (at your option) any later version." Should be: "Vino is free software; you can redistribute it and/or\n modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License\n as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2\n of the License, or (at your option) any later version."
Thank you for your attention to the details, but I believe you've got a distribution-specific issue. GNOME Vino doesn't have this "is free software" message; you can look by yourself at: http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/vino/po/pt_BR.po http://l10n-status.gnome.org/gnome-2.16/PO/vino.gnome-2-16.pt_BR.po http://l10n-status.gnome.org/gnome-2.18/PO/vino.HEAD.pt_BR.po Read the output of the following command: msgunfmt /usr/share/locale/pt_BR/LC_MESSAGES/vino.mo If the reported erroneous message shows up, then you have a distribution-specific issue, and should report it there.
Well, the string showed up yesterday. Please take a look again.
confirming: the string is included in /server/vino-status-icon.c, which was added to /po/POTFILES.in a few hours ago.
Created attachment 78198 [details] [review] patch as the affected string is only in CVS HEAD but not in the stable branch, it should be safe to commit this?
The patch looks fine. Please go ahead and commit it. It was my mistake. Also, please look at bug #384704 if you have any other suggestions for the status icon UI.
And thank you.
committed to HEAD: http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/vino/server/vino-status-icon.c?r1=1.1&r2=1.2 jonh, thanks for the quick answer, and a friendly reminder to add files to POTFILES.in if they contain new strings. :-)
