Description Breda McColgan 2004-04-13 16:07:42 UTC
1. Add the Quick Lounge applet to the panel:
Right-click on the panel, then choose Add to Panel > Utility > Quick Lounge.

2. Right-click on the Quick Lounge applet, then choose "Properties".
The "Quick Lounge Properties" dialog is displayed.

This dialog should be updated as follows:

a) Change the title to "Quick Lounge Preferences" (see bug 139938).

b) Rename "Add Launcher" to "Add New Launcher".

c) Rename "Add From Menu" to "Add Existing Launcher".

d) Delete the fullstop at the end of each Size option.

e) Rephrase the third Size option as follows:
"Resize icon when panel is resized"
Comment 1 Paolo Bacchilega 2004-04-17 16:23:43 UTC
I only have some doubt on point e)
That option let you choose whether to always lay the launchers on a single row
or to lay then on more rows when the panel is big enough.
Any suggestion?
Comment 2 Breda McColgan 2004-04-19 15:16:21 UTC
I think the additional information for point e) should be added to the online
reference manual, rather than to the GUI itself.
Comment 3 Paolo Bacchilega 2004-04-19 16:04:57 UTC
The problem is that the icons are ALWAYS resized when the panel is resized so
the text you suggest isn't very descriptive.
The option let you choose whether to use more rows when there is enough space or
always use one row, so I'd call it "Always use one row" or something like that.
Comment 4 Breda McColgan 2004-04-19 17:23:42 UTC
Ah, now I see what you mean. I think "Always use one row" is probably fine, but
I've copied Eugene and Calum for their opinion.
Comment 5 Paolo Bacchilega 2004-04-20 11:58:54 UTC
points a) --> d) fixed now.
Comment 6 Eugene O'Connor 2004-04-20 12:22:52 UTC
I agree with Paolo's "Always use one row" suggestion too.

BTW, perhaps I am using an older version of Quick Lounge, but I see full stops
after the three size options that are unnecessary.
Comment 7 Calum Benson 2004-04-20 16:24:39 UTC
What happens on a vertical panel? Does "always use one row" then mean "always
use one column"?
Comment 8 Paolo Bacchilega 2004-04-21 07:14:12 UTC
yes.
Comment 9 Paolo Bacchilega 2009-02-03 16:55:54 UTC
The option label now changes according to the panel orientation. Closing the bug as it's partially obsolete.
