Description Stefan Lasiewski 2003-04-26 18:49:32 UTC
I am at this webpage:

http://gstreamer.net/releases/redhat/

Step 7 of the install instructions say:

"If you're feeling adventurous, you can just install everything that should
work in one fell swoop by running

apt-get install gstreamer-universe"

However, when I try that, apt-get says that "gstreamer-universe" does not
exist:

[root]# apt-get install gstreamer-universe

E: Couldn't find package gstreamer-universe

Thomas is currently rebuilding packages against a chrooted RH90
environment, the old RPMs were slightly broken, according to him.
Please wait a few days.

This specific problem does not happen any more.

gstreamer-universe is now a valid package, and I can download it with
'apt-get install gstreamer-universe'.

The apt-get still fails, but for a different reason. I filed the new
problem under bug <a
href="http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112119">112119</a>.

Closing this bug.
