Description Stefan Lasiewski 2003-05-02 21:36:38 UTC
When running 'apt-get install gstreamer-universe', I get some failed
dependencies.

Here is the output of my command:

# apt-get install gstreamer-universe
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  gstreamer-universe: Depends: gstreamer-a52dec (>= 0.6.1) but it is not
going to be installed
                      Depends: gstreamer-flac (>= 0.6.1) but it is not
going to be installed
                      Depends: gstreamer-libdvdread (>= 0.6.1) but it is
not going to be installed
                      Depends: net-rhythmbox (>= 0.4.7) but it is not going
to be installed

You're mixing packages from our repository with packages from other
repositories.  Basically, don't :)

The end solution will be there when we move everything in here to
www.fedora.us
