Description Christian Rose 2003-02-09 16:10:37 UTC
There are now many translations for "Kannada" in GNOME (language code "kn").
It should probably have a corresponding language entry in the gdm greeter.

I'm unsure how the string freeze relates to this, however, for GNOME 2.2.
Release team needs to be asked, I think.

kannada@sharma-home.net, could you attach the language name "Kannada"
translated into Kannada (as a UTF-8-encoded attachment to this report).
That information is probably needed.

Also, if you could give the full locale names (kn_XX where XX is the
country code of where Kannada is spoken), that would be excellent.

kn_IN should be the only locale using this language. Kannada is not
spoken very widely outside of India.

irrelevant here but filed a similar bug for Hindi

Apparently already fixed in CVS
