Description nadaschauher 2002-11-29 23:40:29 UTC
It would be great if the little arrows on icons for symlinks were made an
option.

They are annoying because they tend to move other, perhaps more important,
emblems away. I, and I believe many others as well, use symlinks to
organise my desktop, and it's really annoying to have all those little
arrows sticking in the center of every icon. They aren't too pretty either.
Much of a symlink's power comes from its complete transparency, and that
should be true in a graphical representation as well.

Making them less intrusive, like fixing them in the lower left corner and
stopping them from moving emblems around, would also be great relief.

Bug 310402 is a good enough solution to this issue. I'll close this as we probably won't spend any more time on this and we don't want to add yet another option.
