Description Ghee Teo 2002-11-29 16:16:51 UTC
gnome-terminal is capable of generating appropriate data into
utmp, wtmp, lastlog as detailed in 93906.
However, the Default profile in gnome-terminal is NOT to log these
auditing/tracking data. This means that gnome-terminal session is not
made to be secure as it ought to be.

xterm. dtterm etc all log these data by default.
gnome-terminal should do so by default as well.
