Wow! I had no clue why I had several pictures that weren't showing
properly in nautilus. I had been too lazy to search for the bug
(since I figured it'd be a duplicate somewhere) and didn't just want
to file yet another duplicate for nautilus. Yet this bug scared me
from showing off Linux to Windows people.

A simple search didn't show any duplicates.

I'm going to set priority->high, severity->major, as this bug has been
extremely annoying for me. Also, setting version to 2.0.x and adding
GNOMEVER2.0 keyword. I'm guessing that this should be a rather easy
fix, shouldn't it. Anyway, marking as new.

Bug in FAM, unfortunately- not nautilus's fault.

Eh, crap. Marked this a dup when I meant to mark another. FWIW,
Elijah, I agree with you. I'm also marking TARGET2.2.0 since this is
completely broken even under normal circumstances in 2.2.0, a
regression from 2.0.

This is partially related to bug 43335.
Comment 6 Elijah Newren 2002-12-12 20:03:47 UTC
This is also closely related to bug 101029.
Comment 7 Alexander Larsson 2003-01-20 19:00:53 UTC
I expect this work with the latest CVS version, or any version after
2.2.0.

Hi there.

This doesn't work for me if a thumbnail couldn't be created for a video file.

For example if I'm downloading a video, nautilus tries to create a thumbnail, but as the video isn't complete, it only shows a replacement. Although the video is changing, the nautilus never tries again to create a thumbnail. The only way is to rename the file.
